Run The Railyard 5k
Join us for Run the Railyard on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, featuring both a scenic 5K walk/run and an adventurous 10K trail run. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Rogers, this community event offers something for everyone—from a family-friendly route along the paved Lake Atalanta trails to a more challenging trail experience through the surrounding natural terrain. The 5K welcomes dogs, children, and strollers, making it perfect for participants of all ages, while the 10K is ideal for those ready to take on a more rugged course. Both races start and end at the Railyard Bike Park in downtown Rogers, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere for participants and spectators alike.
Registration is available in advance by clicking this link or will also be available on race day from 6:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.
The 5K Walk & Run Route
The course takes you down the Frisco Springs Connector trail, a concrete path, towards Lake Atalanta Park. Once there, you’ll follow the paved trail under the road, circling Lake Atalanta in a counter-clockwise loop. As you continue, be prepared for several moderate hills and valleys before reaching the top of the dam.
Along the shoreline, the route leads you back to the Railyard Bike Park for the finish line. The majority of the course is on concrete-paved trails, with a short section of approximately 200 yards on gravel.
The 5K Entry
5K Regular Entry: $35 for all ages until June 30th, 2026 and after that entry is $45 for all ages. T-shirts not included but you can add it as an option for an additional $15.
The 10K Trail Route
The 10K trail run offers a more rugged and adventurous experience through the natural beauty surrounding Lake Atalanta. This singletrack course winds through wooded terrain, featuring moderately technical trails with roots, rocks, and uneven footing to keep runners engaged from start to finish. Along the way, participants will encounter steady elevation changes, including punchy climbs and flowing downhill sections, all paired with scenic views and peaceful stretches of nature. Designed for both experienced trail runners and those looking to challenge themselves, this course delivers a rewarding balance of endurance, excitement, and connection to the outdoors.
The 10K Entry
10K Regular Entry: $50 for all ages until June 30th, 2026 and after that entry is $60 for all ages. T-shirts not included but you can add it as an option for an additional $15.

Race Packet Pick Up
You can pick up your race packet on Friday, July 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the pavilion at the Railyard Bike Park.
The Prize
Specially-designed medals will be awarded to those who sign up for before June 20th.
Parking Day Of The Race
Parking for Run the Railyard is limited, but there are plenty of nearby options! Feel free to park anywhere in downtown Rogers or in the Tyson parking lot, and enjoy a short walk to the Railyard Bike Park for the race start. We encourage everyone to plan ahead and arrive early to ensure a smooth experience on race day!
FAQ’s
Is there a time limit for the race?
No there isn’t a time limit. You should be able to walk this course slowly in an 1.5 hours. If you want know your offical time, make sure to finish the course by 9:30 am.
Is dressing up in patriotic attire encouraged?
Absolutely! Show off your patriotic spirit for a chance to win the trophy!
Who is eligible for awards?
All participants registered by June 20th, 2024, will receive a guaranteed medal.
Male and female age brackets will receive an award .
Awards will also be given to the fastest male and female uphill runners.
Additionally, the participant with the most patriotic attire will receive an award.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, all animals are welcome to join the race. Last year, someone brought their pet pig.
Are You Interested In Being A Sponsor?
Proceeds from this family-friendly event will support the Downtown Rogers Rotary Club in beautification efforts in the downtown parks. The club conducts monthly litter pick-up events on the Lake Atalanta Loop trail, and plans to fund additional landscaping, park benches and amenities to enhance the parks.
